The family
Family is a gift from God and it is humanity’s greatest treasure. It is one of the mysteries of the church. The family reflects the immense love of Christ for His Bride. Within families, deep relationships are developed. Love flourishes. Children are born and raised. And it is in the family that children receive their upbringing and develop their outlook on life.
Yet the family is a garden that is either cultivated and flourishes, or is abandoned and becomes desolate. If the family is neglected and abandoned, it turns into a dumping-ground. The weeds of malice, hatred and envy shoot up. The fence falls apart and everyone can plunder and destroy.
When families are weak, the church is weak and society is weak. There are no foundations.

Therefore, in order to enjoy the riches of warm and deep relationships, to reap the harvest of a strong and wise generation, to have a healthy society and churches, we are called to cultivate the family garden and to protect it. We must learn and treasure the wisdom of the Scriptures and to follow the example of Christ who gave His life for His Bride. We are called to have fellowship with one another and to build a healthy family environment.
